3. Slide the HDD cage into the chassis from the front until it snaps into position.

4. Reinstall all the hot-swap HDDs and dummy trays (if any) in the HDD cage. See “Installing a hot-swap
5. Reconnect the cables to the backplane. Refer to the cable connection in the following pages.

Connecting cables for server models with one backplane installed (supporting up to four SATA
hot-swap HDDs)
For this server configuration, you can use the mini-SAS signal cable that has four SATA connectors and one
SGPIO connector for cable connection. To connect cables, do the following:
1. Use a power cable to connect the connector on the backplane and the HDD power connector on
the system board.
