3.4.4 Field
This detail screen can be accessed from the Home screen, or by navigating from
another detail screen. This screen contains different information depending on the
mode of operation. For a 3-axis probe, the magnitude value is defined as the square
root of the sum of the squares of the three axes’ measurements. This is also known as
the vector sum. The figure below shows an example of the display in AC mode
.
3.4.5 Frequency
(AC modes only)
Frequency is calculated by counting DC value crossings. This value is most accurate
when measuring a fairly consistent AC signal with a strong fundamental frequency
and amplitude greater than 1% of range.
