F71/F41 Teslameter

3.5.2 Field Control
(optional)

Field control options will only display when the field control module is installed. Field
control is available only for DC measurements with single-axis probes. When Field
Control is enabled, the Home screen will show different options including a quick
access setting for Field Control.

All field control settings can be accessed through the Settings menu (top left corner of
the screen).

3.5.2.1 Power Supply Protection

Magnet power supplies can be damaged by a control voltage that is too large or by
rapid changes in the control voltage. It is important to put limits on these values to
avoid these problems.

3.5.2.1.1 Voltage Limit

The full span of the field control option card is ±10V. However some magnet power
supplies are not designed to operate at those voltages, so a limit can be set on the out-
put voltage.
