The receiver receives via both "MAIN" and "SUB" antennas but gives precedence to data from the
"MAIN" receiving antenna.
In other words, as long as the "MAIN" antenna does not encounter any wireless communication errors,
data from this antenna will continue to be used, but data from the "SUB" antenna will be used if the
"MAIN" antenna encounters wireless communication errors.
[Example of using the polarization diversity technique]
This telemeter supports both the space diversity and polarization diversity techniques.
When there is a direct line of sight between the transmitting and receiving antennas, use the space diversity
technique, matching the plane of polarization of the transmitting and receiving antennas, for reception.
However, the plane of polarization constantly changes, and there are times when the rotating objects or
environments where reflected waves from obstructions cannot be avoided. In this case, use the polarization
diversity technique for reception, differing the planes of polarization of two receiving antennas. Specifically,
forming a 90° angle with the receiver’s two receiving antennas enables reception by one receiving antenna
even if the plane of polarization of the transmitter’s transmitting antenna changes, such as when the transmitter
moves or rotates.
If the transmitter rotates,
for example
When the plane of polarization of
transmitted radio waves changes as the
transmitter moves (such as by rotating)
Even if the plane of polarization of the
transmitted radio waves changes, one of
the two antennas may still be able to get
reception.
