Setting the Paper Weight
You can set the paper thickness for the paper type to be customized.

Display the paper type to be customized (see page 1-102 , Adjusting
the Paper Type ) and press the > key.

key to display
>>Paper Weight
.

Press the
ENTER
key. The message display shows a blinking
question mark (
?
).

Press the
or
key to select the paper thickness as shown below.
For details of the default setting for each paper type, see section 5.4
Paper Type Setting on page 5-11 .
Normal
Heavy (Thick)
Light (Thin)
If you want to abandon the setting procedure, press the CANCEL
key.

When the desired paper thickness displayed, press the ENTER key.

Press the MENU key and the message display returns to
Ready
.
If the paper type is set to
Custom
and the option duplexer is installed
on the printer, duplex printing can be enabled and disabled. See
Setting the Duplex Path on the next page.
