GENTLE COOKING WITH DUROTHERM
1.
Always remove the heat-retaining base before placing your
DUROTHERM on the stove. Add only a little water to the food,
and always keep the lid on when cooking.

Vegetables and rice
For glass ceramic, ceran and gas hobs:
set at ¾ of the highest setting.
For induction hobs:
set at ½ of the highest setting.*
Meat
For glass ceramic, ceran and gas hobs:
set the highest setting.
For induction hobs:
set at 3/4 of the highest setting.*

Cook until steam starts to rise and the lid can be easily turned.
4.
Immediately turn down the heat to the lowest level.
5.
Depending on the kind of vegetables (see cooking time table),
take your DUROTHERM off the stove after a few minutes and
simmer on the heat-retaining base for table serving.
