Filling the Remaining Gap under the Foot Plate with Chemical Mortar
To compensate for any irregularities in the concrete surface and ensure full contact between the feet of the Amaprop bracing and
the tank floor, the gap between each foot and the concrete floor must be filled with chemical mortar. KSB’s scope of supply includes:

A
Preparing the Cartridge/Application
1. Remove the cap
2. Screw static mixing nozzle into position
3. Place UPM44CX 150 cartridge with plunger into the applicator gun
4. Press out approx. 10 cms of material until the mortar comes out evenly grey in colour. Mortar which is not grey in colour will
not cure and must be disposed of.
5. After filling the gaps between the bracing feet and the concrete floor, leave the static mixing nozzle attached to the cartridge,
or remove it and replace the cap.
If the processing time is exceeded, use a new static mixing nozzle and, if necessary, remove encrusted material
from the cartridge opening.
Inject chemical mortar through the additional hole Ø 7,5 mm until excess mortar escapes from the sides of the foot plate. Then
inject more mortar from the sides until the entire foot plate is fully grouted. The tank floor surface must be cleaned in this area and,
in existing installations, roughened with a suitable tool.
