Installing the Guide Rail -- Pump Bracket --
Retaining Brackets
Remove the 3 hex. head bolts M12x45, washers Ø 13/37 and
lock nuts M12 from the pump bracket.
The guide rail (710) -- with a cross--section of either 100x100x3
or 100x100x5 (see general arrangement drawing) is either
supplied by the customer or included in KSB’s scope of supply.
The standard guide rail length is 3 or 6 m. If necessary, the
length can be altered in acc. with the general arrangement
drawing, i.e. either shortened (remembering to deburr the cuts)
or extended, if the installed depth exceeds 6 m (see section
7.9).
The guide rail should extend 0.5 metres above the water level.
40 mm hole
Slip the guide rail 100x100 through the pump bracket until it has
reached its ultimate installation position (installation plan).
Please note:
The 40--mm holes in the guide rail must point
towards the pump bracket (see exploded view).
Insert bolts M12x45 with big washers from the inner side of the
guide rail (bore Ø 40 mm) and tighten on the rear side of the
pump bracket, using Loctite 243 and lock nuts, as shown in the
drawing.
Tightening torque: M12: 60 Nm with torque wrench.
There is a through--hole Ø 18 at the lower guide rail end.
Pre--assemble both retaining brackets on both sides of the
lower guide rail end using hex. head bolts M16x160 and lock
nuts; do not tighten the bolts at this stage.
