Wide spreading (tedding)
If possible, take the swaths between the rotors.
If the forage is heavy, drive at a higher rotational speed and not too high driving speed
(steep spreading angle).
Use these as rough guidelines:
PTO speed approx. 350 - 450 rpm
Driving speed approx. 4 - 6 km/h
Turning
The drier the forage, the lower the PTO speed must be selected to prevent the forage from
being damaged.
Adjust the driving speed (6 - 8 km/h) to the forage condition.
Select the rotational speed and speed for moist forage the same as for wide spreading (flat
spreading angle).
Night swathing
Adjust the driving speed (6 - 8 km/h) and the PTO speed to the forage condition.
For narrow swaths select a steeper spreading angle.
INFO
These specifications are only guide values and must be adjusted in practice to the local
conditions.

Objective for fast drying
The objective of a working step with the tedder is an even spreading pattern. The forage should
be arranged as an even layer behind the tedder.
If swaths are to be formed during tedding:
increase the rotational speed for swath forming between backwards rotating tines (A),
reduce the rotational speed for swath forming between forwards rotating tines (B).
