Hydraulically operated tailgate
(on request for Titan 4/25 L)
and automatic floor conveyor shut-down
The tailgate is in two sections and is opened and raised
by two hydraulic cylinders. When the tailgate is
operated, the locking hooks are first raised via the
hydraulic cylinders and connecting rods at left and right,
and the gate unlocked (see figure). Then the gate is
swung to the rear, and only subsequently raised.
It must be checked from time to time that the hooks are
raised sufficiently. If necessary adjust the connecting
rods at the top by screwing in the eye screws.
The gate closes in reverse order. When the hydraulic
valve for the tailgate is in “lower” position the gate is
pulled shut by two tension springs. When the gate pins
are in the catches at the end of the frame the locking
hooks lower and lock the gate.
The locking hooks are each provided with an electrical
switch. As soon as the locking hooks are raised or are
not correctly closed, a red warning lamp indicates at the
front in the control box. This allows the tractor driver to
check whether the tailgate is closed properly without
climbing down.
The height of the rear panel bearing is adjusted with the
setting screw (A) so that tube (B) in the rear panel is
aligned to the catch (C) allowing the rear panel to be
closed correctly.
When the wagon is full the advance is switched off via
the shifter piece in the frame when loaded crop presses
on the rear wall. Check this shut-down function before
and during initial operation.
The automatic shut-down should be set as sensitive as
possible. The automatic shut-down can be made less
sensitive using the setting screw (1).
It is possible to limit the lifting height of the tailgate for
low stall entrances. To do this, insert the stop screws
“D”M 12 x 70 in the bores provided in the bearing
bracket. Ensure that the screws are inserted in bores at
identical height on both sides (le + ri) so that the gate
does not bend.
