Putting the compressed air brake system
into operation (special equipment)
1. Connect “reservoir” (red) and “brake” (yellow) brake
hose coupling heads to the tractor. Ensure that the
hoses are positioned safely.
2. Method of operation and setting of the manually
adjustable pressure limiting valve (for vehicles with
compressed air brakes without anti-wheel-lock braking
system).
Pressure limiting valve
manually adjustable (braking force regulator)
Setting and method of operation
The pressure limiting valve limits the pressure in the brake
cylinders of trailers in relation to the load state. The valve
is located at the front on the left of the wagon.
The lever of the pressure limiting valve
must be set manually to one of the positions
“empty”, “half load” and “full load”,
depending on the load state of the trailer.
The lever must be moved to the position “release”
before manoeuvring the trailer when it is uncoupled and
braked. If the valve does not have a release position,
the release valve (1) is located on the brake valve itself,
which is located at the front on the left on the axle.
Secure the wagon against rolling away
before operating the release valve.
