Installing and removing cutter blades
When installing and removing blades the blade control
shaft must be in a position where all blades can swing
back freely (0-position). Then turn the blade rod lever
from position (1) to position (2). The lever must be
raised slightly so that the pin comes out of the locking
hole. If the lever is difficult to move, the multi-purpose
key can be used for assistance; place it on the half-
round end of the blade holding rod (see photo).
The blades must be removed upwards from inside the
wagon. It makes sense to remove the longer blades
first and the shorter ones last. When installing, install
the shorter blades first, the longer ones last.
To make installation of blades easier any deposits of
load residue should be removed from the area of the
blade control shaft under the wagon.
If the blades are badly worn it may be necessary to
adjust the distance between blade tips and scraper (A).
This is carried out as follows:
Release the 4 bolts (1) and the counter nuts (2) at the
left and right of the wagon. Also the 4 bolts (3) and the
counter nuts (4) at the middle bearing of the blade
control shaft. Then use the pressure screws (5) and (6)
to adjust the 3 bearing elements (right, middle, left)
equally, until the required distance (A) to the blade tips
has been achieved. Distance “A” = 0–10 mm. Then
retighten all nuts and bolts securely.
