12.1 Disturbances at the pick-up or during picking up of crops
Disturbance: The pick-up cannot be lowered.
Possible cause Remedy
The hydraulic switching valve
is in the wrong position. „
Set the hydraulic switching valve to pick-up, refer to
page 72 .
The relief springs of the pick-
up have been set too strong. „ The relief springs of the pick-up must be adjusted so that
only the pick-up is relieved,
refer to page 79 .
Disturbance: There are crop blockages in the intake area.
CAUTION! Machine damage due to crop blockages! Immediately stop, switch off PTO
shaft and remove the crop blockages.
Possible cause Remedy
The swaths are uneven or too
large.

Divide the swaths.
The tractor driver is driving too
fast. „
Reduce the driving speed.
„
Slow down at the beginning of the baling process until the
picked up crops roll into the bale chamber.
The machine height has not
been set correctly with respect
to the tractor.
„
Set the machine correctly using the drawbar from the
KRONE service partner,
refer to page 43 .
The lower holding-down
clamp has been set too low.
„
Set the lower holding-down clamp higher, refer to page 63 .
To remove the crop blockages, refer to page 74
Disturbance: Short crops are not pulled in correctly.
Possible cause Remedy
The machine is hooked in too
low in the front.

Check the setting of the drawbar.
„ If necessary, have a KRONE service partner adjust the
drawbar height,
refer to page 43 .
Disturbance: Crops fall out during the baling process between the roller and the bale formation
conveyor chain.
