Entering the Addresses Directly

"Direct input" refers to the operation of directly inputting the destination 
address from the machine’s control panel.

Up to five destinations can be specified through direct input.

The following procedure describes how to directly specify an address.

Press the [Scan] key on the control 
panel.

The Scan mode screen appears.

Touch [Direct Input], then [Scan to FTP].

–

To access an FTP server anonymously, touch [Anonymous] in the 
screen where the user name is entered.

A screen for entering the destination host name, destination folder, and 
other information appears.

Why is the Direct Input tab not displayed?

If the [Manual Destination Input] on the Security Details screen 
(displayed by touching [Security Setting] on the Administrator 
Setting screen) is set to [Restrict], the Direct Input tab does not 
appear.
