Splicing the Flexview cable whip

You will need to splice the supplied cable whip to the cable leading to your ROV junction
box. It is possible to splice the spare 50-ft (or 15-ft) test cable provided with your system, but
you risk intermittent telemetry errors if the cable is not terminated correctly. Gigabit Ethernet
cables must be terminated to a much higher standard than RS232/422/485 serial cables.

Prerequisites

The following tools and parts are used when splicing a subsea cable.
