Removing the pump head
1. Accessing the fan blades:
Mark the motor fan cover with a continuous line made with a felt-tip pen
(for later reassembly) and then loosen the fastening screws of the motor
fan cover (see Chapter
5 Product description and function
) and remove
the cover.

2. For two-headed pumps only:
Remove the pneumatic connection between the pump heads; to do
this, mark the union nuts according to Fig. 8 and loosen them. This
helps to avoid incorrect assembly later.
3. Mark the head plate (

), intermediate plate (

) and the housing with
one continuous felt-tip pen line for head 1 and with two continuous felt-
tip pen lines for head 2. This helps to avoid incorrect assembly later.
4. Loosen the six hexagon socket head cap screws (
1
). Remove the head
plate (

) and intermediate plate (
18
).
