Electrical current
DANGER!
Danger to life from electrical current.
There is an immediate risk of fatal injury in case of
contact with live parts. Damage to the insulation or
individual components can mean danger to life.
Therefore:
– In case of damage to the insulation, switch off
the power supply immediately and have repairs
carried out.
– Have work on the electrical equipment carried
out by qualified electricians only.
– When any work is carried out on the electrical
equipment, disconnect it from the power and
make sure it is free of voltage.
– Before carrying out maintenance, cleaning and
repair work, switch off the power supply and
secure it to prevent it from being switched back
on.
– Do not jumper or disable any fuses or circuit
breakers. When replacing fuses or circuit
breakers make sure to adhere to the correct
ampere rating.
– Keep moisture away from live parts. It can lead
to a short circuit.

6.3.1 Screwed cable gland
NOTE!
Type Ex de motors are equipped with EEx e
screwed cable glands. For type EEx d motors, the
cable glands are not included in the scope of
delivery. These must be adapted to the cable
diameter on site.
NOTE!
Unused cable bushing openings must be sealed off
with certified plugs with the matching IP protection
type as shown on the type plate.
