2.3.3.2 Operation of cooling device
The cooling unit is an autonomous system fully controlled and supervised by external automation control system. For
that reason it does not require additional interference.
All service works should be done by personnel having appropriate certificated qualifications. However the personnel
can reduce potential failures by following the unit
’
s operation carefully.
NOTE!
The compressor requires appropriate operating parameters of the cooling oil. Before the first start and after
each longer downtime of the whole AHU (when the switchboard is not energized) it is necessary to turn on
the switchboard and do not enable to start the cooling system. It will initiate starting the compressor casing
heater and heating up the oil. Heating-up time: 8 hours is enough to reach appropriate oil temperature.
- The basic parameter that should be taken into account is the amount and parameters of air flowing through the
cooling system exchangers. Flow adjustment should ensure minimum amounts of air given in Table No. 10
The condition of air filters should be monitored. Contamination of air filters may cause considerable drops in airflow
rate.
Monitoring the cooling system may be limited to checking pressure ranges when the system is in operation.
The user has to carry out a visual inspection of the cooling system condition. Oily spots on the pipeline can indicate
leakage of the medium from the system. If you find oily spot, dry it until clean. If oily spot appears again, there is a
leakage in the system.
NOTE!
Visual inspection of the cooling system should be carried out when the compressor and fans are turned off.
Temperature of the pipeline directly downstream the compressor during operation can exceed 100°C. Pay particular
attention while inspecting the cooling system.
For safety requirements it is necessary to lead out the cooling medium (DX) from the valves outside the
building.
2.3.3.3 Control system of the cooling systems
Applied control systems solution of the cooling systems (HPM, CM, HPM.H.BPS, CM.H.BPS) splits the system into
three independent switchboards:
Cooling system switchboard
–
supplied by Klimor only if the full control system is ordered
Switchboard controlling the cooling systems (HPM, CM, HPM.H.BPS, CM.H.BPS)
Power module energizing the cooling systems
Due to separating ventilation and power switchboard of the cooling system it is necessary to provide addi-
tional power lead for the cooling system power module.

2.4 Commissioning
Completely assembled AHUs have to be commissioned in line with the Klimor Quality Control procedures and once
approved the KT Certificate is issued to confirm conformance with the quality requirements and operation parameters
defined in the order.
