The parameters for one compressor from a given circuit. The other one is identical. In systems with two circuits, cir-
cuits with different outputs.
2.3.3.1 Description of cooling device
The cooling sets are located inside the AHU. They consist of two parts: compressor assembly (a compressor with fit-
tings) and fluid handling assembly (fluid container with fittings). The compressors are protected with high and low
pressure gauges which are fitted directly to the compressor's contactor and they turn off the compressor. High pres-
sure gauges are equipped with a manual reset device while low pressure gauges are equipped with an automatic re-
set device. Additionally there are low and high pressure gauges with automatic reset device in tandem set. Once ac-
tivated they reduce the output in order to enable correct system operation. The pressure gauges and manometers
are located in a space separated from the air flow. If, due to the system size, it is necessary to install safety valves,
they are installed in the system and the medium drainage pipe is located outside the AHU. The user is required to
lead the drainage pipe outside a zone where people are present.
The system is delivered together with the control system. It provides full protection during AHU operation, maintaining
required air parameters and its maximizing output. In order to protect the compressor against flooding with the liquid
medium, the system operates with removing by suction the medium vapor once turned off (the solenoid valve is
closed before turning off the compressor). Removing the medium by suction is done at each system deactivation as
well as at switching over the operation mode from heating into cooling (shifting the 4-way valve). Due to operation in
heating and cooling modes at variable air parameters, the systems have got wide ranges of permissible operating
pressure.
The cooling systems are provided depending on a required output as:
a)One-compressor systems
b)Two-compressor systems Two compressors in such systems operate in one cooling circuit.
c)Four-compressor systems These are two-circuit systems made of two independent compressor tandems.
