PLZ-4WH
Overview
In addition to controlling the PLZ-4WH from the front panel, you can control it remotely
through the following interfaces.
RS232C interface
GPIB interface
USB interface
The remote interfaces comply with IEEE Std 488.2-1992 and SCPI Specification 1999.0.
The PLZ-4WH complies with the following standards.

Setting the interface
You can select an interface from the menu. Turn the power switch off and then on again to
enable the setting.
Details are also contained in the Communication Interface Manual in the accompanying CD-
ROM.

RS232C
When the PLZ-4WH is shipped from the factory, the RS232C connector has a cover. Keep
the cover so that you can attach it to the RS232C connector when the connector is not in use.
For safety, always attach the cover to the RS232C connector when the connector is not being
used. If the cover is damaged or lost, contact your Kikusui agent or distributor.
For the RS232C interface, from the menu, select “2.Configuration” > “2.Interface,” and set
“RS232C” to the appropriate protocol.

GPIB
For the GPIB interface, from the menu, select “2.Configuration” > “2.Interface,” and then set
“GPIB” to the appropriate GPIB address.

USB
To select the USB interface, from the menu, select “2.Configuration” > “2.Interface” > “USB.”
To use the USB port to control the electronic load, you must install a driver that supports the
USB Test & Measurement class (USBTMC) on the controller.The USBTMC driver is installed
automatically by the VISA library.
