Cable Guard connections
Triax Cable Guard is used to provide guarding for the triax cable and can be
extended all the way to the DUT at a metal guard plate. Connections for Cable
Guard are shown in
Figure 2-14 .
A safety shield must be used whenever hazardous voltages (
>
30Vrms, 42Vpeak)
will be present in the test circuit. Figure 2-15 shows a how to make guarded con-
nections with the use of a safety shield.
