Trapping hazard
There is a trapping risk when you attach a trailer.
Follow the instructions of the coupling manufacturer if using special trailer
couplings.
Secure the trailer to prevent it from rolling away before coupling it.
Do not get caught between the truck and the tiller when coupling the trailer.
The tiller must be horizontal, tilted down by no more than 10° and never facing up.
4.4.1 Double decker plug coupling (
o
)
Hitching the trailer
Requirements

• Push the bolt of the trailer coupling from the top
through the holes of the trailer coupling and the
tow eye.
• To secure the coupling insert the spring cotter
(49) sideways through the hole at the end of the
bolt.
The trailer is now coupled.
Unhitching the trailer
Procedure
• Prevent the trailer from rolling away
• Pull the sprint cotter (49) off from the side of the bolt (48).
• Pull the bolt out of the coupling from the top.
• Bring the tow eye out from the side of the hitch.
• Insert the bolt into the coupling and secure it.
