The steps to follow when installing a water softener kit in a JOFEMAR coffee machines
are as follows:
F
It is very important that, before installing the water softener in the machine,
the resin be rinsed once. To do this, connect the water softener inlet nozzle to a
faucet using the filter’s silicon tube. The water softener outlet nozzle is
connected to a waste container with another tube. Open the water softener
stopcocks and let water go through it for 15 minutes until the water is
completely colourless. After this, proceed as follows:
INSTALLING THE MACHINE
1. Disconnect the machine from electricity mains and empty the water circuit.
2. Place the water softener at the back of the machine, on the left-hand side (see
figure)
3. Remove the flexible tube connected to the machine inlet solenoid valve (
No. 8
)
(that goes to the air-break). This end of the tube (
No. 7
) is connected to the free
end of the flexible joint (
No. 6
).
4. Connect the free end of the silicone tube (
No. 2
) to the inlet solenoid valve.
5. Reconnect the machine to electricity mains so the water circuit can be filled again.
