6.11. - Rotating arm.
The silicone tube for delivery of final product from the beaters and from the
espresso group are located in the nozzles on the end of the rotating arm. The arm has 5
nozzles, so it can service up to 5 silicone tubes, the actual number depending on how
many beaters are installed in the machine (figure 6.11).
The movements made by the rotating arm are:
-
When a new product is requested, the arm raises to free space for the cup to be
dispensed and for the sugar trapdoor to open and dispense sugar.
-
Before the boiler solenoid valves are triggered to send hot water to the beaters,
the arm descends to its standby position. The nozzles are thus positioned above
the cup so the water and soluble product mixture is poured in.
This movement is achieved thanks to a flap which moves lengthwise to make the
arm turn. The flap is moved by a 12 V geared motor.
Each time the machine is turned on it checks the arm position and places it in its
standby position.
