10.6 NEUTRAL SWITCH ADJUSTMENT ___________________________________________
The neutral switch is part of the Interlock System. The switch prevents
the mower to start unless the traction pedal in the Neutral position. If the
neutral switch is not adjusted, the mower will not start.
Adjust the neutral switch after the neutral adjustment is done. Neutral
switch adjustment is done at the traction pump.
When the traction pedal is in the NEUTRAL position, the pointer must
be over the sensing part of the switch. If necessary, loosen switch
hardware and adjust the position of the switch.
Adjust the switch so the gap between the sensing part of the switch and
the end of the pointer is 1/16 - 1/8 inch (0.15-0.3 cm).
Always test the function of the Interlock System after you replace or
adjust the neutral switch.
See 7.2
10.7 FORWARD SENSING SWITCH ADJUSTMENT __________________________________
The forward sensing switch is part of the 4WD system. The switch
prevents the 4WD to engage unless the traction pedal in the forward
position. If the forward sensing switch is not adjusted, the 4WD system
will not engage.
Adjust the forward sensing switch after the neutral adjustment is done.
The forward sensing switch adjustment is done at the traction pump.
Adjust the switch so that the switch contacts are open with the traction
pedal is in the NEUTRAL position. The switch contacts must close
through the full forward range of the traction pedal.
Adjust the switch so the gap between the sensing part of the switch and
the actuator plate is 1/16 - 1/8 inch (0.15-0.3 cm).
10.8 PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ADJUSTMENT _____________________________________
The parking brake switch is part of the Interlock System. The switch
prevents the mower to start unless the parking brake is engaged. If the
Parking brake switch is not adjusted, the mower will not start.
The parking brake switch adjustment is done at the parking brake
handle.
Pull up on the parking brake handle to engage the parking brake
position. Loosen the switch hardware. Adjust the switch so the sensing
part of the switch is centered on the brake handle. Tighten the switch
hardware.
The gap between the sensing part of the switch and the parking brake
handle must be 1/16 - 1/8 inch (0.15-0.3 cm). Add or remove the shims
between the switch guard and the bracket to get the correct gap.
Shim part number is 3009193.
Always test the function of the Interlock System after you replace or adjust the parking brake switch.
