Installing External Batteries

To install an external backup battery in an ADIX-VS system:
1.
Remove the front panel.
2.
Feed the battery cable through the opening space on the lower left or right side of the
VS-KSU.
3.
Connect the batteries PE-12V7 to the connectors marked BAT1 and BAT2 on the VS-PWSU
power supplies as illustrated in Figure 34. The red conductor is po) and the black
conductor is negative(-).

Caution! Danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or
equivalent type recommended by the manufacturer. Dispose used batteries according to the
manufacturer’s instruction.
