Submersible pump

EN

Safety regulations for the use

These  machines  are  designed  for  pumping  water

and  water-containing  substances.  Besides  that,

they  are  destined  for  pumping  water  out  of  the

swimming  pools  or  pumping  out  excessive  water

from reservoirs.

These machines are fully immersible and equipped

with  automatic  switches,  that  enable  working

without  the  permanent  control  of  the  user.  They

allow for working in confined space as well, e.g., for

pumping water out of wells.

(SP-550DW, SP-900DWS)

The  application  scope  is  wide  for  these  machines

due  to  their  capability  to  pump  out  heavily

contaminated water that contains particles up to 35

mm in diameter.

The following listed safety instructions should serve

you for the right use and for the protection of your

own safety. Therefore please read this very carefully.

When  passing  this  device  over  to  a  third  person,

these instructions must be handed out, too.

Warning and information signs marked on the case

of the device contain the important instructions for

the safe operation.

Connecting to power source

•  Voltage  data  indicated  on  the  nameplate  shall

con- form to the power source ratings.

•  Devices  of  the  Protection  Class  IP  1  shall  be

connected  only  to  properly  grounded  power

sources.

•  If an extension cord is used while operating the

high many years to come.

pressure

device,

the cross-section shall be as follows:

•  1, 5 mm2 at max. Length 20 m

•  2.5 mm2 at max. Length 50 m

•  Pursuant to safety rules the extension cord to be

used  must  have  a  ground  wire  connected  via  the

plug to the main circuit ground.

Use of an improper extension cord may

be  hazardous! The  extension  cord  and

its connectors must be waterproof and

approved for outdoor use.

•  If the device’s cable must be replaced, use only a

power cable provided by the manufacturer.

•  never  handle  the  plug  with  wet  hands.  Keep

cable connectors dry, and make sure they do not lie

in the water or on the ground.

•  Use a strain relief device with extension cords to

relieve tension.

•  To prevent damage of power or extension cords

should  not  be  driven  over,  squeezed  or  stretched.

Pro tect the cables against overheating, contact with

oils or sharp edges.

•  To  increase  safety,  it  is  recommended  to  use  a

residual  current  device  (RCD),  rated  for  a  leakage

current of no more than 30 mA. Check the condition

of such devices, prior to each use.

•  If  the  power  or  extension  cord  couplings  are

replaced,  their  water-resistance  and  mechanical

strength must be preserved.

Suspending the machine on the current-

conducting cable during the operation

in  wells  and  similar  sites  shall  be

forbidden.

Using the device

•  Before using the device check it and its accesso-

ries  for  proper  condition  and  operating  safety.  A

faulty device must not be used.

•  It is prohibited to pump poisonous, flammable,

aggressive or explosive substances, or food.
