Commissioning the energy meter
An energy meter from Carlo Gavazzi (EM24DINAV53XE1X) is used.
Once the energy meter has been wired up, the display will show C
T R
A
TIO
. The
transformer ratio at the device can be entered in this display mode.
This and all other configuration settings can be made directly on the energy meter. For
reasons of complexity, however, this task should only be performed once the factory-set
IP settings for the energy meter have been checked using the configuration software
UCS.
The factory-set IP address can only be viewed on the energy meter display.
•
Use the left/right joystick settings to scroll through the menu until the network settings
appear (IP, subnet, gateway, DNS).
•
Make a note of the IP address, the subnet mask and the gateway.
The following settings are used as standard by Carlo Gavazzi, although these may
deviate depending on the firmware of the energy meter:
IP address:
192.168.1.20
Subnet mask:
255.255.255.0
Gateway:
192.168.1.1
•
Change the IP address of your computer/laptop to 192.168.1.10 in order to establish
a connection to the energy meter. Instructions on changing the IP settings in
Windows 10 can be found in Section 6.1
“Preparatory work and information”.
Instead of ending the IP address with 10, you can choose another whole number
from 2 to 254 (apart from 20).
