9.2.3 Maintenance - annual
9.2.3.1 Entire battery storage system
Carry out a visual inspection
•
Carry out a visual inspection and check the battery storage system for
– Mechanical damage
–
Dirt deposits
– Unusual noises
If work needs to be performed on the battery storage system that will stir up dust
(e.g. the removal of dirt deposits), the smoke detector must be covered with a
protective cap before starting work.
Once work is complete, the protective cap must be removed again without fail!
•
Remove any dirt deposits
Cover the smoke detector with a protective cap.
Remove any dirt deposits.
Remove the protective cap.
•
Report any damage to the operating company immediately.
•
Check that the flow-off of condensate in the AC unit is guaranteed.
Check the screw connections
•
Check that all of the screw connections on the battery storage system are secure.
•
Tighten any loose screw connections (screw torques according to screw size and
strength class).
9.2.3.2 Lithium-ion batteries
•
Carry out a visual inspection and check the lithium-ion batteries for
– Mechanical damage
– Corrosion
– Markings on the positive and negative poles
•
Report any damage to the operating company immediately.
9.2.3.3 Update the displayed State of Health
In order to ensure that the SoH measured and communicated by the battery management
system is updated automatically, the battery storage system must initially be charged to a
State of Charge (SoC) of 100%, and then discharged to a SoC of 5%.
