Shoulder bands
The shoulder bands hold the shoulders against the back of the shell The shoulder
bands have been set up during the basic adjustments performed by your medical
supplies dealer If it is necessary to perform any readjustments, please contact
your medical supplies dealer
To apply and remove the shoulder bands, proceed as follows:
Preparation:
Place the patient in the seat shell
Release the black lever located on the connection between the shoulder
cushion bar and the actual support structure by turning it counterclock-
wise
It is then possible to slide and turn the shoulder band
Perform the following movements by taking the upholstered part of the
shoulder band in one hand:
Pull the shoulder band away from the patient’s body somewhat
Turn the shoulder band
90
° until it is horizontal with the edge of the seat
Slide the shoulder band back toward the back of the shell
Repeat this procedure on the other side
The patient is then no longer restrained by the shoulder bands
Repeat these steps in reverse order to apply the shoulder bands When
applying the shoulder bands, check to ensure that pressure is evenly dis-
tributed on the shoulders and not excessive
