6. Leg positioning
Various cushions and straps are used to position the patient’s legs�

Abduction pommel (spreading wedge)
Three different abduction pommels are available for ERGOLINE: integrated, ad-
justable and swing-type�

Abduction pommel integrated
The integrated abduction pommel was affixed during manufacturing of the seat
shell� Adjustments can not be made after that� Should adjustments become nec-
essary, please contact your specialist dealer�

Abduction pommel adjustable
The adjustable abduction pommel is affixed at the bottom of the outer side of the
hard seat shell� An adjustment is possible� The position of the pommel toward
the inner seat can be adjusted� It should be aimed that both knees are centered
toward the abduction pommel side�
To adjust the abduction pommel proceed as follows:
Loosen the clamp by turning the wing screw anticlockwise� The wing screw
is placed under the seat at the mounted holder of the abduction pommel�
Push the abduction pommel into the correct position�
Fix the position by turning the wing screw clockwise until the abduction
pommel can no longer be moved�

Abduction pommel swing-type
The swing-type pommel is also affixed at the bottom of the outer side of the hard
seat shell� For adjustments proceed like with the adjustable abduction pommel
(Chapter

To swing the abduction pommel forward
proceed as follows:
Loosen the catch by pressing the red
button underneath the absuction pom-
mel (Photo

Now you can swing back the pommel�
To bring it back into its original posi-
tion, move it back until it audibly locks�
