Hold the strap in this position�
Then close the flap on the tightener until it lies flat against the fixed part�
The strap is now secured�
To open the lock, pull on flap on the tightener and pull out the strap�
Repeat this procedure on the other side�
Repeat these steps in reverse order to release the chest harness�
Adjusting the chest harness
Preparation:
Place the patient in the seat shell and apply the chest harness�
Important: Always adjust the chest harness, working from the hard back of the
shell outwards and using the

tighteners located there�
To adjust the chest harness, proceed as follows:
Adjust the lower ends of the chest harness first�
Open the lower tighteners on the hard back of the seat shell�
To do so, simply pull hard on the free end of the strap and the tightener will
open automatically�
Pull the strap on one side to the desired position�
Hold the strap in this position�
Then close the flap on the tightener until it lies flat against the fixed part�
Repeat this procedure to adjust the other side�
Repeat these steps to adjust the upper ends of the chest harness, using
the upper tighteners on the hard back of the seat shell� The procedure is
identical for both the upper and lower ends of the chest harness�

Pelvic band
Preparation:
Place the patient in the seat shell and connect the pelvic band firmly
to the seat shell on one side�
Lay the pelvic band over the patient’s lap�
Then thread the free end of the strap into the clamping buckle while simul-
taneously pressing the pelvic band with one hand against the patient’s pel-
vis� Press on the moving part on the buckle using the thumb on the hand
that you are using to press the pelvic band and then thread the free end of
the strap into the buckle using your other hand�
Pull on the strap until the pelvic band has reached its final position� You
can verify this by checking to ensure that the band is positioned properly
and pressure is evenly distributed along the patient’s pelvis� The two large
cushions on the pelvic band should be centered on the two sides of the
patient’s pelvis to distribute pressure evenly�
