SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
13
. Please make sure that the Bowden cables for operating the drum brakes and
the trigger for the gas-pressure springs are not protruding into the spokes.
14
. Make sure that your tires have adequate tread depth.
15
. We would like to expressly point out that seat shell occupants must be secured
at all times by means of suitable restraint systems (straps).
16
. In the case of combinations and/or adjustment versions the front wheels may
collide with the leg rest. Please note that this will restrict the maneuverability
of the wheels and adjustments must be made, as necessary.
17
. Please note that you are subject to traffic regulations when traveling on public
streets.
18
. In dark conditions wear bright clothing wherever possible in order to be more
visible. We also recommend installing an active light source.
19
. For thigh amputees the rear wheels must be positioned further back. The
use of an anti-tipping system is necessary.
20
. In order to prevent hand injuries do not reach between the rear wheel and
the knee lever brake when operating the wheelchair.
21
. Be aware of your fingers during operation and all adjustment and assembly
work (risk of injury).
22
. Make sure that screws are re-tightened after all adjustments.
23
. Always make sure that the seat shell is securely connected to the undercarriage.
24
. Always consult your local dealer or the manufacturer in the case of a ques-
tionable situation associated with the AKTIVLINE basic model.
25
. Perform periodic inspections of all connections on the AKTIVLINE basic
model. Consult your local dealer in the case of any doubts.
26
. Please note that it is not permissible to use the AKTIVLINE basic model in
cases of persons, who are not intended to do so.
27
. It is not permissible to make additions or modifications to the AKTIVLINE
basic model care system by parties other than the manufacturer and any
cases that should become known shall be subject to legal action. Likewise,
the warranty obligations of interco GmbH shall cease to apply in such cases
and any liability claims directed at the manufacturer shall no longer be valid.
28
. The AKTIVLINE basic model is only approved for its intended use. Avoid ac-
tions, such as driving the wheelchair against an obstacle (stair, curb) without
using the brake or jumping down from elevated surfaces.
29
. Use caution when handling fire (e.g. a burning cigarette)! Seat and back cov-
erings could catch fire.
30
. Never leave the patient unattended - not even with the patient securely
strapped in and the brakes set.
31
. Make sure to keep other children from playing with the wheelchair or any
part thereof.
