6. Operation / Assembly
We have listed the main features of the AKTIVLINE basic model undercarriage in
order to familiarize you with its various adjustment options. Please note that in
the case of any doubts it is always better to consult a local dealer or the manu-
facturer directly in order to ensure that your AKTIVLINE basic model is always
reliably safe to operate.

Adapter system with pelvis adjustment unit
The special features of the adapter system have already been broadly described
in Section
4
.

. However, it should be mentioned once again here that every effort
must be made to ensure a secure connection between the seat shell system and
the undercarriage.
Note:
The support block comes equipped with a spring-loaded catch mechanism.
In order to attach the seat shell pull out the T-shaped pull handle as far as it
will go. Place the shell and press it down firmly. Then let go of the pull handle.
Always make sure that the spring-loaded catch mechanism has securely snapped
into place (with a click sound). To remove the shell pull the pull handle and lift
the shell.
Important:
The factory-assembled undercarriage is delivered with the pelvis
adjustment unit and the lateral spring-loaded catch mechanism in the intermedi-
ate adjustment setting (adjustment track range is
20
mm forward and backward).
During adjustment make sure that the adjustment position of the pelvis adjust-
ment unit and the lateral spring-loaded catch mechanism are always the same.
For good measure, check the shell system to make sure it is securely in place by
pushing and pulling on it and ensuring that the spring-loaded catch mechanism
does not disengage. If it does, then the adjustment of the adapter system needs
to be checked. Such work is always required to be performed by a local dealer
or the manufacturer.
