Pinout Changes

The Intel

Pentium

III Processor with 512KB L2 Cache uses the same PGA370 socket that AGTL+ only

processors use. No changes to this socket should be needed to create an Intel

Pentium

III Processor

with 512KB L2 Cache platform.

However, several of the pin definitions for the Intel

Pentium

III Processor with 512KB L2 Cache have

changed from their AGTL+ only processor definitions. A summary of these changes are provided in

Table 7-1

. The platform must implement the pinout changes shown below to be compatible with the

Intel

Pentium

III Processor with 512KB L2 Cache.
