Device programs
Several programs can be run during monitoring.
The device can perform the following pre-programmed tasks:
storage (STORE),
analysis/diagnosis (DIAG), and
s rhythm analysis (STORE with at least 1 minute of rhythm recorded).
Pressing the respective button will start the program.
9.1. Storing records — the STORE program
This program is used to create variable-length records of the 12 ECG leads, a variable-length
rhythm record of a chosen channel, and it performs rhythm analysis in case at least 1 minute
of rhythm data is available.
The length of the records of the ECG leads can be 0, 4, 6, or 8 seconds.
The length of the rhythm record can be 0 seconds, 20 seconds, 1 minute, 3 minutes, 5
minutes, or 10 minutes. The rhythm record can be of any channel.
The rhythm record stored by the program can be printed only at a 5 mm/s speed.
If the length of the rhythm record is at least 1 minute, the device will also perform a
rhythm analysis, provided at least 40 beats occur during the recording. The printed form
of the rhythm analysis can be seen in the respective subsection.
Storage parameters can be set under the
Setup/Store
menu item.
If pre-start (
Setup/Printing/Pre-start
) is enabled, 2 seconds of signal prior to pressing the
program button will also be stored. This way it is possible to store and print out a signal
which has already been displayed.
9.1.1.
Starting the program
In order to create and store a rhythm analysis, the following has to be performed before
starting the program:
In the settings of the STORE program (
Setup/Store
), the ECG length should be set to 0,
and rhythm length should be set to at least 1 minute.
During rhythm analysis, there is typically no need for precordial leads, and it is
recommended that they be shorted by connecting them to the N lead. When using
precordial electrodes, unstable electrode contact during a several minute examination
(5–10 minutes) causes a noisy record.
Limb leads, e.g. the II lead, should be used as the monitored lead.
Pressing the
button during monitoring starts the program that has been selected.
