Caution!
In the case of an electrode attachment error or noisy signal, the pacemaker signal may be
faulty. Check the position of the pacemaker spikes on the screen in order to verify it!
If the device is operating on battery, a battery status indicator will appear. The
indicator is green if the battery has sufficient charge, and it is red if its charge is under
10% of the battery capacity. In the latter case, the battery has to be charged.
QRS classification: Below the QRSs, at the bottom of the screen, a set of type-
marking characters will appear. Their interpretation is described in section 9.3. which
deals with rhythm analysis. At a 5mm/sec sweep speed and a heart rate above
160BPM, there are no markings.

8.1. Using the touch screen
Handling the device’s touch screen is similar to handling modern mobile phones. The menu
items can be selected and settings can be adjusted through touching or swiping. The screen
can be manipulated using fingers (tips, not nails) or a stylus designed for use with capacitive
screens. (It is forbidden to use pens, metal, or plastic objects on the screen, and they will not
work with the device.)
Short touch
: selecting menu items or using the alphanumeric keyboard.
Long touch
: accessing a number of hidden functions by touching the relevant area for 2
seconds.
