Sending an SMS message from the EXPLORER™ 527
To send an SMS message
from
the EXPLORER 527, do as follows:
1.
Click
MESSAGES
from the left navigation pane.
This window contains new incoming messages.
2.
In the left navigation pane, click
Write message
.
3.
Type in the message in the
Write new message
field.
If the message text is too long for one SMS, the message is sent as two or more SMS
messages. The field below the message field shows the number of SMS messages used to
send the message.
4.
Type in the phone number in the
Recipient
field.
Remember
00
and
country code
(e.g.
00 45
to call Denmark or
00 1
to call USA).
Important
If the EXPLORER 527 is not online when you attempt to send a message, the
message is moved to the Outbox in stead of the Sent folder. Messages in the Outbox
are
not
automatically sent when the EXPLORER 527 goes online. For further
information on the Outbox, see the next section, Options for messages in the
Outbox.
To make sure a message has been sent, check that it has been moved to the Sent
folder.
