In addition to the numerical time indication (R),
the bar graph (P) indicates the playing time
graphically by its length, in relation to the title
duration (relative time indication). For the last 30
seconds of a title, the bar graph keeps flashing in
its full length; for the last 15 seconds, it starts
flashing even faster.
5.3.2
Number of beats per minute
After selecting a title, the beat counter automati-
cally determines the number of beats per minute.
After a while the number (T) appears on the right
at the bottom of the display. If the beat counter is
not able to determine a correct value (e.g. for
quiet music titles), it is also possible to determine
the value manually:
1) Briefly press the button TAP (8) several times
to the beat of the music. The number of beats
is inserted: To indicate the manual counting
mode, on the left of the number of beats, the
insertion AUTO disappears.

5.4 Operating modes
5.4.1
Continuous replay and
single title replay
To switch between single title replay [insertion
Auto-CUE (C)] and continuous replay [insertion
CONTINUE (D)], press the button CONT (16).
A For
single title replay
the player is always
switched to pause at the end of a title.
This mode is specially provided for DJ
applications. After selecting a title, the player
unit is set to pause precisely on the spot
where the music starts (usually not at the
time index 0 : 00 : 00 but some frames later,
e. g. 0 : 00 : 15). This spot is automatically
stored as a starting point (Auto Cue point)
which is indicated by the insertion CUE (N).
After starting the title, it is possible to return to
this starting point with the button CUE (10).
After replaying a title, the unit is set to pause
precisely on the spot where the music of the
next title starts. This spot is then stored as a
new starting point.
B For
continuous replay
all titles are played
continuously one after the other, i. e. after the
last title the first title restarts. However, if the
titles have been filed in different folders, only
the titles of the folder selected are repeated.
5.4.2
Relay mode

the jack RELAY (34)

the first player is set to pause and the other
player starts. This is repeated continuously
until the relay mode is deactivated. (To deac-
tivate the mode, press the button RELAY
once again.)
4) To additionally switch the replay from one
player to the other one in the relay mode at
any time, press the button
.

always changed manually (chapter 5.1, step 5).

keep the button CUE (10) pressed. After releas-
