Data mode (SSTV/PSK31) operation
When operating SSTV or PSK31 with your PC soft-
ware, consult the manual that is supplied with the
software.

Connect a PC to the transceiver. (p. 20)

to tune in a desired signal and de-
coded correctly.
• The S-meter indicates received signal strength when
a signal is received.
• Also use the tuning indicator of the software.
• During SSB data mode, ¼ tuning function can be
used for critical tuning.

Use the PC (software) to transmit.
• When operating in SSB data mode, adjust the AF
output level from PC so that the ALC meter reading
doesn’t go outside the ALC zone.
NOTE:
When the data mode is selected, the
audio input from the
[ACC]
connector* is used for
transmission instead of
[MIC]
connector.
The speech compressor function is turned OFF
for the SSB data mode transmission.
* The desired connector can be selected in the set
