Figure 54: Frost on the Dewar opening
Be aware that frost or ice on the Dewar opening
may result in a lower performance
because of pressure leakage from the Dewar.
S
afely wipe the Dewar opening of ice using
a dry cloth before you insert it into the system.
During the Freeze step, the system monitors the pressure and if frost or ice is formed the
following message is displayed:

If such message appears, remove the Dewar from the system, clean its opening from ice
and reinsert a full Dewar.
Caution
When replacing the Dewar, follow detailed on-screen instructions on opening
the Dewar compartment.

The Dewar must be properly filled prior to inserting the system.
•
In each Dewar fill, make sure that you are performing it properly.
•
The Dewar should never be stored with liquid nitrogen inside the system at the
end
of the working day.
•
For proper handling in order to ensure safety, please follow the cryogen supplier
instructions.
