2. After the operating system starts, insert the IBM ServeRAID Support CD into the
CD-ROM drive.
3. If you are using NetWare, go to step 5. If you are using Windows NT, Windows
2000, or OS/2, create an IPSADM directory on your hard disk. To do this, go to
the operating system command prompt and type:
md c :\ipsadm
where c is the drive letter of the drive where Windows NT, Windows 2000, or
OS/2 is installed.
4. Press Enter.
5. Copy IPSSEND to your hard disk drive by typing one of the following at the
command prompt:
For Windows 2000
copy z :\programs\winnt\cmdline\win2k\ipssend.exe c :\ipsadm
For Windows NT
copy z :\programs\winnt\cmdline\nt4_0\ipssend.exe c :\ipsadm
For NetWare Note: These instructions assume that you installed the following:
v
NetWare in the NWSERVER directory
v
The DOS CD-ROM device drivers.
copy z :\programs\netware\cmdline\ipssend.nlm c :\nwserver
For OS/2
copy z :\programs\os2\cmdline\ipssend.exe c :\ipsadm
Note: Where z is the drive letter for the CD-ROM drive that contains the IBM
ServeRAID Support CD and c is the drive letter where Windows NT,
Windows 2000, NetWare, or OS/2 is installed.
6. Press Enter. Remove the CD from the CD-ROM drive.
Installing IPSSEND for Windows 2000, Windows NT 4.0, or
NetWare from diskette
To install this program for Windows NT, Windows 2000, or NetWare from the IBM
ServeRAID Command-Line Programs diskette, do the following:
1. Start the server.
2. After the operating system starts, insert the IBM ServeRAID Command-Line
Programs diskette into the diskette drive.
3. If you are using NetWare, go to step 5. If you are using Windows NT or
Windows 2000, create an IPSADM directory on your hard disk. To do this, go to
the operating system command prompt and type:
md c :\ipsadm
where c is the drive letter of the drive where Windows NT or Windows 2000 is
installed.
4. Press Enter.
5. Copy IPSSEND to your hard disk drive by typing one of the following at the
command prompt:
For Windows 2000
copy z :\win2k\ipssend.exe c :\ipsadm
For Windows NT
