Attention: The new controller stripe-unit size is set at the factory to 8 KB. If you
need to change this setting, you must change the stripe-unit size before you store
data in the logical drives. After you store data in the logical drives, you cannot
change the stripe-unit size without destroying data in the logical drives. To change
the stripe-unit size, do the following:
1. Click (
Create arrays
) on the tool bar to switch from Configuration mode
to Information mode.
2. In the Main Tree, click the new controller.
3. Click Actions
→
Change stripe-unit size.
4. Click the new stripe-unit size for your installation on the menu.
Using Express configuration: To use Express configuration:
Note: If the Express configuration mode or Custom configuration mode buttons do
not display on the right panel, click (
Create arrays
) on the tool bar.
1. In the Main Tree, click the ServeRAID controller that you want to configure.
2. If it is not already selected, click the Express configuration button.
3. Click Next. The Configuration summary window opens.
4. Review the information that displays in the Configuration summary window.
