The service functions that the RSM provides for a selected adapter are:

Display a Logical View of the SSA network

The Enclosure View provides the following enclosure functions:

Display:
– ID (name) of the enclosure
– FRUs that are installed
– VPD of each FRU
– Status of each FRU:
- Fault bit
- Exchange or Swap bit
- Connection type (for example, bypass cards)
– Ambient temperatures
– Warning-temperature settings
– Physical position of each disk drive module
– Mode and state of each bypass card

Modify:
– ID (name) of the enclosure
– Warning-temperature settings
– Mode of each bypass card
Identifying 7133 Models D40 and T40 Units and Disk Drive Modules
You can identify a 7133 Model D40 or T40 unit and disk drive modules installed in it
either by the location code contained in system messages that refer to that unit, or by
using the SSA service aids.
Location Code Format for 7133 systems
The format of this code is NNNN — XX where NNNN is the enclosure ID, the four
characters that appear in the display at the front of the 7133 operator panel, and XX is
the disk drive slot number and has a value of 1 to 16.
