If the SRN is not in the list, do not change the power supply assembly: call
your service representative and report the problem.
3. Check the lights on this power-supply assembly. (“Power-Supply Assembly Lights
and Switch” on page 12 describes these lights and how to see them.)
If the Check/Power-Good light is not showing amber, you cannot change the
power-supply assembly; call your service representative and report the
problem.
If the Check/Power-Good light is showing amber, change the power-supply
assembly using the procedure in the following section.
To Change a Power-Supply Assembly
The illustrations in the following instructions show a rack-mounted unit. The steps for
changing a power-supply assembly in a deskside unit are the same, but the parts are
turned through 90 degrees.
1. Set the Power switch on the power-supply assembly to Off, by moving it
downward.
Note: On early power supply assemblies, pull the switch outward and then move it
downward.
