9. Ensure that the Check light comes on immediately. If the module is not in Service
Mode, the Check light should go off after approximately 2 seconds. (If this does not
happen, check that the new module is properly installed, then check the SSA error
log for information about the new fault.)
If the module is in Service Mode, the light will stay on. Cancel the Service Mode
and the light should go out. See the appendix for your operating system for
information about the Service Mode. If the light stays on, check that the new module
is properly installed, then check the SSA error log for information about the new
fault.
If the Ready light comes on and remains on or flashes quickly (five times per
second), the drive has been installed properly, proceed to the next step.
If the ready light does not come on or flashes slowly (2 seconds on and 2 seconds
off), check the SSA error log for information about the new fault.
