When you have finished using the service aid, select Set/Reset Identify or Set/Reset
Service Mode again. This turns off the Check light on the disk drive module and, if the
disk drive was in service mode, releases the disk drive for use by the system programs.
Problem Determination
If you have a problem with a 7133, see the operator guide for your system for a
description of what to do.
For some problems, your system diagnostics tell you to check the lights on the system
to discover which part, if any, has a fault. “Controls and Lights” on page 3 of this book
shows the position of the lights. The diagnostic programs tell you what to report to your
service representative. (“Reporting Problems” on page 69 describes other information
you should report.)
Checking the SSA Error Log
In RISC systems, when you start the diagnostic programs they automatically check the
SSA error log and present messages about any new problems that have been recorded
there. Your using system manuals describe how to start the diagnostic programs.
Service Aids
This section shows the screens for the service aids that are available when the 7133 is
attached to a RISC system.
