Management
DMS Mode
The DMS Mode provides an opportunity to enable the DMS feature and set its mode defining how it interacts with the network.
To view the Device list in the web interface:
Click DMS / Management / DMS Mode

Description
DMS mode
Select from the drop down list:
Disabled: Set to “Disabled” to disable the DMS. The DMS mode is “Disabled” by default.
Enabled: Set to “Enabled” to enable the DMS. At least one switch on the network must
be set to Enabled to use the DMS features. The DMS mode is “Disabled” by default.
High Priority: Set to “High Priority” will enable the DMS mode and set the switch to the
Master setting over other DMS enabled switches.
Note: If there are additional i3 switches on the network, setting one switch to Enabled
or High Priority will set that switch as the primary DMS feature switch and will change
“Trunk”/”Access” ports on the secondary i3 switches to “Hybrid”. This may cause
comunication to fail between secondary i3 switches and any 3
rd
party switches
connected to the network.
Total Device
Displays the total number of devices on the network.
On-Line Devices
Displays the total number of devices that are Online.
Off-line Devices
Displays the total number of devices that are Offline
Controller IP
Displays the IP of the Controller
Apply Button
Click the Apply button to set the changes made to the DMS mode. Click the Save button in the
upper right corner to permanently save the changes.
