Using Apple CarPlay

Connect an iPhone to the USB port via a
Lightning to USB cable.
When iPhone is successfully connected
to the USB port, the Apple CarPlay
screen will display.
Apple CarPlay
You can get directions, make calls, send
and receive messages, and listen to music,
all in a way that allows you to stay focused
on the road.
In Apple CarPlay, you can operate
applications by using Siri or finger gestures
such as tapping, dragging, scrolling or
flicking on the screen of this unit.

• This unit supports only the following
iPhone models.
- iPhone 5/5S/5C/6/6 Plus
- Compatible with iPhone devices that
support iOS 8.0 or later
• Depending on the software version of the
iPhone, it may not be compatible with this
unit.
• Some gesture operations in Apple CarPlay
may differ from those you are familiar with
on your iPhone, depending on the feature.
• When connect the Apple CarPlay,
Bluetooth connection is disconnected
automatically.

Tip:
For best results when using Apple
CarPlay ensure that the iPhone is
connected to the internet and that the
data connection is of good quality.
• Set the iPhone Siri settings to the
language that best suits your native
tongue.
• When using Siri voice commands, speak
clearly toward the front of the audio unit.
• There may be a delay in the response
time to spoken commands or mode
selections. This is usually dependent on
your internet connection quality.
• For best results, it is highly
recommended that the VOICE button
on the unit is used for voice commands
rather than using the ‘Hey Siri’ feature.
Caution:
When you use Apple CarPlay,
the following abnormal situations can
occur if there are problems with User’s
abnormal using or the iPhone’s
connection or network quality.
• It may cause choppy sound in Apple
CarPlay if you repeatedly tap the screen
or it depends on iPhone condition.
• Apple CarPlay may respond slowly or
freeze or display a different screen from
your iPhone.
• Apple CarPlay may not work properly
depending on your iPhone’s network
quality or speed.
If an abnormal situation occurs, please
wait until the unit resumes normal
operation. Or, reconnect your iPhone to
the iPod/USB port and confirm that the
iPhone’s Wi-Fi or mobile network
connection is operating normally.
