Using an Auxiliary Audio Equipment
By connecting an optional portable Audio device to the AUX input jack on the media hub and
then simply selecting the source, you can listen on your car speakers and this unit. The volume
level is adjustable for any difference between the unit and the portable audio device.

Turn down the volume on the unit.

Turn off the external audio equipment.
Connect the audio output of the external
audio equipment to the AUX input
terminal on Media hub.
Be sure to adjust the volume for each
connected audio device before playback.

When external audio equipment is
already connected, press the
MEDIA
button to enter the Media menu screen,
then tap the
AUX
.
Or press the
MODE
button on the
Steering wheel remote control repeatedly
until display the AUX screen.

Start playback of the external audio
equipment at approximately 70%
volume.

Set your usual listening volume level
on the unit.
Note
--------------------------------------------------
• The audio quality of your media player
and the audio tracks on it may not be of
the same sound quality as the car audio
system's media player.
• If the volume level of the media player
is too low compared with the radio or
media player, increase the volume of the
connected media player.
• If the sound of the media player is too loud
and/or distorted, decrease the volume of
the player.
• For technical information regarding the
AUX input, refer to the specification
section at the end of this manual.
